Is
there such a thing as 'Life experience degrees' or is it just a way to
scam people needing an education.
The sole idea of life experience degree accreditation is to guide students
against getting fooled by innumerable fake diploma mills. It also helps
in guarding them, schools, and employers and to give them guarantee that
the course they are undertaking is an authentic one.
When a student receives a diploma from a school accredited by the right
agency, he can be assured that it will be accepted by all employers. Likewise,
when the employers are looking to hire, they can be assured that you have
graduated from an accredited school and not by just paying a “diploma
mill” school.
Authentic life experience degree exists if you have acquired the necessary
work experience, on-the-job training, and acquired the necessary skills
like good writing, research, and organizational skills enabling you to
accumulate quite a bit of academic credit toward an academic degree through
portfolio assessment from an accredited university.
With the advent of life experience degrees, you can apply for an accredited,
recognized and honorable bachelor's degrees, diploma, or certificate on
the basis of your work or life experience.
However, you need to be careful; most of the unaccredited online universities
provide credit for life experience. They just offer credit for life experience
and if you pay your fees, you get your diploma. You don’t have to
worry about practical experience.
If you pay a little extra, you can even graduate with honors ! The problem
arises when this life experience is not acceptable by state and federal
laws and you face a problem which acquiring a suitable job.
